Chess Course Level III: Endgame Theory and Advanced Chess Concepts in GER


Take your chess skills to the highest level with our Level III course, where we dive into advanced endgame theory and strategic thinking. Designed for players who want to refine their tactical and positional understanding, this course will teach you how to navigate complex endgames, rescue seemingly lost positions, and outmanoeuvre opponents with precision.

This is Level Three of the chess educational program at the World Chess Club Berlin. If you're unsure which level is right for you, we recommend attending one of our free events for a skill level assessment. 

What you’ll learn:

    • Opposition and its importance (key squares)

    • Distance effectiveness

    • Attacking pawns

    • Good to know endgames

    • Salvaging positions (positions that seem lost but could be saved)

    • The Magnus Carlsen style “squeezing water from a stone

    • Reading the nuisances in a position

    • Activity vs material

    • How and when to “liquify” positions

    • Neutralise counter play of the opponent

    • When to transition to endgames

Course details:

  • March 20th – April 10th, 2025

  • Thursdays from 19:00 to 20:30

  • Limited to 10 participants

  • €85 for four lessons

  • Conducted in German

Meet your teacher:

The course is led by Allan Mohammad, an experienced chess player with extensive teaching experience. Allan has successfully guided learners of all ages, sharing his passion for the game. A tournament winner, his classical FIDE rating is 1954, and his engaging teaching style ensures you'll enjoy every lesson.
