The Magro Jazz Trio is a Berlin-based musical concoction that blends the chill vibes of hip-hop beats with the groovy essence of jazz, evoking the likes of Herbie Hancock and J Dilla.
Magro, the musical architect, is a drummer and producer who knows how to blend genres with finesse. Following the success of his debut album "Trippin" and the recent honor of the "German Jazz Prize" for "Debut Album of the Year," Magro's sophomore release "II" (pronounced: Two) continues to captivate.
Having worked with acclaimed artists like Nightmares On Wax, Wayne Snow and BIGYUKI, his influence also stretches into production, as he's lent his touch to Leona Berlin's tracks, including "Wrong Lane (featuring Snoop Dogg)." His global journey includes performances at renowned festivals such as Jazzahead, Tremplin Jazz Avignon, and Jazz Festival Belgrad.
In the German music scene, Eren Solak (Piano) is a phenomenon. Like no other, he effortlessly wanders between musical worlds without losing his musical personality. Coming from a home influenced by classical music, he later devoted himself to jazz, only to turn to electronic music in later years. Whether as a pianist or keyboardist, DJ or producer, Solaks' music has always placed him at the forefront of Germany's innovative artists. He has worked with jazz artists such as Alexander von Schlippenbach, Hayden Chisholm, Ronny Graupe, Aki Takase Katrin Pechlof and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
Guitarist, bass player and composer Igor Osypov's crisp, slightly distorted sound has made him one of the most distinctive voices in jazz as well as indie rock and fusion. One of the albums he collaborated on as part of Logan Richardson's "Blues People" project was named one of the top 3 jazz albums of 2018 by the New York Times.
